Selby Jennings is engaged with the Stategic Advisory arm of an Investment Bank seeing an Analyst with 2+ years of experience in strategic advisory, investment banking, consulting, or corporate strategy. The platform is well regarded for their services in Advisory, boasting a top 10 ranking amongst U.S. Elite Boutiques.
Ideal candidates are passionate about technology and experienced in utilizing market trends, valuation analysis, and project delivery to assist in supporting high-impact decisions related to mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis across technology sectors, market trends, competitive landscapes, and macroeconomic indicators.
- Develop financial models, valuation analyses, and scenario planning to support strategic recommendations.
- Create executive-level presentations and memos that clearly communicate insights and strategic options.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, product, and corporate development to support transaction execution and strategic initiatives.
- Assist in the evaluation of potential M&A targets, investment opportunities, and partnership strategies.
- Contribute to the development of strategic frameworks, methodologies, and thought leadership within the advisory team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (financial modeling) and PowerPoint (executive presentations).
- Familiarity with technology markets and business models; experience in SaaS, AI, or digital infrastructure is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- Self-starter with strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
