Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer to join a Data and Research team. The primary focus of this role is to design, build, and evolve internal research and data platforms used across the organization. These platforms support quantitative research and trading teams by enabling scalable computation, large-scale backtesting, and efficient deployment of data-driven strategies.
You will work closely with engineers, researchers, and other technical stakeholders to ensure the platforms are robust, performant, and easy to extend.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, reusable, and efficient Python code, including shared libraries and core platform components
- Work collaboratively with peers and stakeholders to ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and maintainability
- Participate in code reviews, testing practices, and technical discussions
- Contribute to internal documentation and shared technical resources
- Investigate production or platform issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of professional experience developing software in Python
- Strong experience with testing methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working with large-scale or distributed systems
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments (e.g., major public cloud providers)
- Solid knowledge of SQL and relational database technologies
