What does the role involve?
This is the first dedicated data hire, tasked with building the internal data function from the ground up. You will partner directly with the CIO and investment team, shaping how the firm sources, structures, analyses, and leverages data to enhance investment decision‑making.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Data Analyst who is comfortable operating in a lean, high‑ownership environment and can bring technical depth while working closely with investment professionals.
What will you be doing?
- Build the internal data foundation: Establish data workflows, pipelines, quality checks, and documentation.
- Ingest & normalise market data: Work with traditional and alternative datasets sourced from global markets, exchanges, and data vendors.
- Analytical support for investment team: Deliver insights, dashboards, factor studies, time‑series analysis, and tools to support discretionary and macro‑oriented investment workflows.
- Automation & optimisation: Streamline recurring investment and research processes through scripting and workflow automation.
- Dashboarding & reporting: Develop intuitive visualisations and reusable datasets for analysts, PMs, and senior management.
- Cross‑team collaboration: Interface with Investment, Risk, and Operations teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of data flowing across the business.
- Foundational build‑out: Establish best practices for code management, data governance, and scalable architecture as the data team grows.
