Senior Accountant

This role is responsible for preparing and reconciling monthly and quarterly financial statement schedules for the organization. Key duties include drafting and posting journal entries, reviewing and reconciling general ledger accounts, analyzing intercompany activity and billing, and completing regular account reconciliations. Additional responsibilities involve supporting various financial accounting functions. This position reports directly to the Controller.

Daily Responsibilities

• Work closely with the investment operations team to draft journal entries and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Maintain, review, and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and generate management reporting from the general ledger system.
• Review bank reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with quarterly accruals.
• Support the preparation of financial information used in the annual GAAP consolidated financial statements.
• Prepare and submit wire transfers through external banking portals.
• Perform additional duties and ad hoc tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Advanced computer proficiency, including strong knowledge of MS Office.
• Strong Excel capabilities required.
• Solid technical understanding of financial accounting principles.
• Experience in financial services or insurance is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Capability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
• A critical thinker with strong problem‑solving abilities.
