Secondaries / Private Capital Advisory Sr Associate / VP1
The Company is seeking an experienced Associate / Vice President to join its Private Capital Advisory team in New York. Private Capital Advisory represents a rapidly expanding and strategically important business for The Company. The team partners with private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and real estate sponsors, focusing primarily on GP-led secondary transactions such as continuation funds, while also advising investors on structured LP secondary solutions, including collateralized fund obligations.
Candidates will join a highly collaborative team that works closely alongside industry bankers throughout the deal lifecycle. The Company offers a unique opportunity to gain meaningful exposure to senior bankers and clients. Associates and Vice Presidents play a key role in managing client relationships, supporting business development, and executing transactions-contributing across all workstreams. Candidates should be high performers who thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured environment and demonstrate initiative, creativity, professionalism, and a strong desire to learn.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of client presentations; interact with senior bankers, clients, and legal advisors.
- Build and maintain financial models and perform valuation analyses.
- Conduct company- and fund-level due diligence; prepare CIMs and other transaction-related materials.
- Support and manage investor outreach and coordinate diligence processes.
- Perform market research and analyze industry trends.
- Gather and synthesize information; develop and present recommendations to senior team members.
- Assist in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities within the secondary market.
- Contribute to the training and development of junior analysts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-8 years of relevant experience (Private Capital Advisory experience preferred).
- Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities.
- Demonstrated maturity and ability to engage with senior private equity sponsors, secondary investors, and internal leadership.
- Solid understanding of private equity and secondaries markets.
- Highly organized, driven, and able to work independently with limited oversight.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective project and process management skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of investment banking or related experience.
Work Location:
- Currently, this role is expected to be based in the New York office at least 4 days per week.
