Role Overview
A leading global asset manager is seeking a Private Investments Product Strategist to support the expansion and evolution of its private markets platform. This individual will play a critical role in shaping new private investment products by leading research initiatives, performing market and competitive analysis, and partnering with stakeholders across investments, operations, risk, legal, and distribution.
The role is highly strategic and project-oriented, with responsibility for moving product ideas from early concept through internal approval and launch. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of private markets and experience with investment product development or strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading research initiatives evaluating new private market investment strategies, including evergreen vehicles such as interval and tender-offer funds
- Conduct comprehensive market, competitive, client, and strategic analysis related to private investment product offerings
- Gather and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from internal and external sources to support product recommendations
- Develop data-driven proposals for new products or enhancements to existing offerings
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across investment teams, product, legal, compliance, risk, operations, and distribution
- Build and maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships to drive alignment and execution
- Present investment ideas and product recommendations to senior leadership and governance committees
- Define project scope, establish timelines, and ensure completion of deliverables across multiple work streams
- Participate in special initiatives and ad hoc strategic projects as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in product management, investment strategy, product development, or investment analysis
- Strong understanding of private equity, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure strategies
- Experience with evergreen private investment structures strongly preferred
- Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, or CFP are a plus
- Excellent analytical, project management, and presentation skills
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively across senior stakeholders
