Title: Lead Financial Auditor
Salary: $130,000 - $155,000 base + bonus
Company Summary:
A leading financial institution is seeking a VP-level Auditor to join its Finance Audit team in New York. This role offers broad exposure across finance, accounting, and reporting functions within a growing audit organization. The team is investing heavily in modernization, culture, and talent development, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced auditor looking to make an impact.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute risk-based audit engagements
- Assess controls and governance across finance-related processes
- Identify risks, findings, and opportunities for improvement
- Partner with stakeholders throughout audit engagements
- Support audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting
- Leverage data and analytics to enhance audit effectiveness
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Internal Audit, External Audit, or Accounting experience
- Strong accounting and auditing foundation
- Banking or financial services experience preferred
- Experience leading audits from planning through reporting
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP required
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
