Junior Equity Execution Trader
A leading global hedge fund is looking to add an Equity Execution Trader to its team in Singapore. The individual will work closely with Portfolio Managers and investment teams across discretionary long/short equities, taking responsibility for the execution of equity trades across Asian markets, working collaboratively in a global team.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of equity trading/execution experience, from a leading hedge fund, or asset manager
- Strong understanding of cash equities and Asian equity markets
- Experience supporting fundamental/discretionary long/short equity strategies required
- Strong understanding of market structure, liquidity and execution
- Ability to work closely and communicate effectively with Portfolio Managers and investment professionals
- Commercial, detail-oriented and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced investment environment
Responsibilities
- Execute equity trades across Asia-Pacific markets on behalf of discretionary long/short investors.
- Work closely with Portfolio Managers and Analysts to understand trading requirements and execute efficiently.
- Monitor market conditions, liquidity and flows to inform execution decisions
- Develop strong relationships with brokers and other market counterparties
- Provide relevant market colour, liquidity insights and trading intelligence to investment teams
- Evaluate execution outcomes and identify opportunities to improve trading efficiency
- Work collaboratively with the wider trading, investment, operations and risk functions
