A rapidly growing, private equity-backed advisory firm is seeking a Vice President to join its Investment Banking team within the Restructuring group. This is a high-impact role offering broad exposure to complex transactions and direct interaction with senior leadership and clients. The firm is known for its fast-paced, collaborative culture and commitment to delivering best-in-class outcomes across the full business lifecycle.
The Investment Banking team advises middle-market companies on mergers & acquisitions, capital raises, restructurings, and special situations. The Vice President will play a key role in delivering restructuring investment banking services to clients undergoing transformation, transition, stress, or distress. This includes liability management, financing, M&A, and restructuring solutions, implemented both in-court and out-of-court.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support transaction execution for middle-market clients in transition or distress
- Prepare and review valuation analyses, debt capacity models, credit document reviews, and restructuring scenarios
- Manage sales and financing processes, including diligence and documentation
- Create and present client deliverables with a focus on clarity and impact
- Negotiate and assist in transaction execution
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal training initiatives
- Support business development and talent acquisition efforts
- Foster a high-performing, inclusive, and values-driven team culture
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a top-tier undergraduate program
- Willingness to be based in or relocate to one of the firm's key office locations: Chicago, New York, Dallas, Los Angeles
- Committed to a collaborative, in-office culture (four days per week) and travel to client sites as needed
- Minimum of seven years of professional experience, including four years in investment banking with a focus on restructuring or related areas
- Strong understanding of bankruptcy law, valuation, and credit agreements
- FINRA Series 79 and 63 licensing preferred (or ability to obtain within 120 days)
- Proven ability to thrive in lean, fast-moving teams and high-pressure environments
- Exceptional communication skills and executive presence
- High attention to detail and ownership mindset
