Investment Banking Vice President- Capital Markets

A leading global investment bank is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Vice President to join its Capital Markets team in New York. This is an opportunity to play a key role advising corporate and sponsor-backed clients on a wide range of capital raising transactions, while working alongside senior bankers on high-profile mandates across industries.
The ideal candidate will have a strong capital markets background, proven execution experience, and the ability to manage junior team members while maintaining direct client exposure. This role offers significant responsibility, a collaborative culture, and the opportunity to work on complex and market-leading transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of equity, debt, and other capital markets transactions.
  • Manage transaction processes from origination through execution and closing.
  • Develop and review financial analyses, valuation materials, offering memoranda, investor presentations, and other marketing materials.
  • Coordinate with clients, legal counsel, accountants, and other transaction participants.
  • Support senior bankers in business development efforts and client relationship management.
  • Monitor capital markets activity, industry trends, and investor sentiment.
  • Mentor and manage Analysts and Associates, ensuring high-quality work product and professional development.
  • Participate in client meetings, pitches, and strategic advisory discussions.

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of investment banking experience, with a strong focus on capital markets.
  • Experience executing equity capital markets (ECM), debt capital markets (DCM), convertible, or other financing transactions.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple live transactions simultaneously.
  • Experience leading junior team members and reviewing work product.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus but not required.
