Role Overview

The Technology M&A team in Munich is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join its dynamic and fast-growing practice. The successful candidate will be instrumental in executing complex, cross-border M&A transactions, primarily within the mid-market technology space.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the full lifecycle of M&A transactions, from origination through to closing.
  • Prepare and review financial models, valuation analyses, and strategic presentations.
  • Draft marketing materials including teasers, information memoranda, and management presentations.
  • Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with clients, advisors, and potential buyers.
  • Conduct in-depth industry and company research, with a focus on software, IT services, and data-driven businesses.
  • Collaborate with international colleagues on cross-border mandates.

Candidate Profile

  • 3-5 completed end-to-end M&A transactions, ideally in the mid-market segment.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Prior experience in investment banking or boutique M&A advisory (candidates from Big Four accounting or consulting firms will not be considered).
  • Strong academic credentials, preferably with a Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent analytical, modeling, and communication skills.
  • Passion for technology and a strong understanding of sector dynamics.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
