Investment Banking Associate (Healthcare) Frankfurt
We are partnering with a leading international investment bank to appoint an Associate within its Healthcare Investment Banking team in Frankfurt.
The platform is recognised for advising private equity investors, founder-led businesses, and corporates on complex M&A and strategic advisory engagements across Europe. The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative team with strong cross-border deal flow and significant exposure to senior bankers and clients.
Previous healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential. We are keen to speak with candidates who have gained solid M&A execution experience within any sector team and are interested in developing deeper healthcare expertise.
Responsibilities
- Execute buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions across the healthcare sector
- Build and review complex financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials
- Prepare presentations, information memoranda, management materials, and client deliverables
- Conduct industry and company research to support both live transactions and business development initiatives
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage interactions with clients, investors, and external advisors
- Support senior bankers in originating new business opportunities and maintaining client relationships
- Mentor and help develop junior team members
Candidate Requirements
- 2 to 6 years of investment banking, M&A advisory, or corporate finance experience
- Currently operating at Associate level or a strong Analyst ready to step up
- Excellent financial modelling and valuation capabilities
- Demonstrated transaction execution experience
- Healthcare sector exposure is preferred but not required
- Strong commercial awareness and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent German and English are essential
- Outstanding academic background
