Our client is a highly specialized boutique investment bank focused exclusively on Healthcare Services, advising founder‑owned businesses, private equity-backed platforms, and strategic healthcare organizations across the U.S. The firm is known for its deep sector expertise, strong deal execution capabilities, and high-touch advisory model. With a growing pipeline of sell‑side and buy‑side mandates, they are expanding their deal team across Chicago or Boston.


Position Summary

We are seeking a top-performing Investment Banking Analyst or Associate with direct M&A experience to join the Healthcare Services team. The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of investment banking experience (Analyst or Associate level) from a reputable, M&A-heavy platform and has a strong interest in working within a highly specialized, fast-growing sector.

You will play an integral role in all aspects of live deal execution, financial analysis, client interaction, and process management, working closely with senior bankers in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support full lifecycle execution of M&A transactions including sell‑side, buy‑side, and strategic advisory engagements.
  • Build and refine financial models, including DCF, LBO, comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses.
  • Prepare high‑quality client materials such as CIMs, management presentations, pitch decks, and market analyses.
  • Conduct in-depth industry and company research specific to healthcare services verticals.
  • Participate actively in due diligence, coordinating with clients, buyers, and third-party advisors.
  • Manage internal workstreams and collaborate closely with senior bankers to drive process efficiency.
  • Interact directly with clients, providing analytical support and helping prepare for management meetings and negotiations.
  • Mentor and review work from junior team members (Associates only).

Candidate Requirements

  • 2+ years of Investment Banking experience at a reputable M&A-focused bank (Analyst or Associate).
  • Strong technical skillset-advanced proficiency in valuation, financial modeling, and deal execution.
  • Demonstrated experience working on M&A transactions, preferably within a sector- or product-focused group.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce polished materials under tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a team‑oriented mindset.
  • Interest in building expertise within the Healthcare Services vertical.
  • Must be located in or open to relocating to Chicago or Boston.
