Investment Banking Analyst - Consumer M&A
We are representing an Elite Boutique Investment Bank as they look to expand their Consumer team at the Analyst 1 or 2 level in Chicago.
Position Overview: As an Investment Banking Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Consumer team in executing M&A transactions and providing strategic advice to clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling to support M&A transactions.
- Prepare pitch books, presentations, and other marketing materials for client meetings.
- Perform industry and company research to identify potential acquisition targets and market trends.
- Assist in the due diligence process, including reviewing financial statements and conducting valuation analyses.
- Collaborate with senior team members to develop strategic recommendations for clients.
- Maintain and update transaction databases and client records.
Qualifications:
- Up to 1 year of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or Transaction Advisory.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
