Working with a proprietary trading firm that is looking to hire an India Options Trader as part of a strategic expansion into Europe.
This is a unique opportunity to join as one of the first hires in the firm's Amsterdam office, helping to build and shape its India options trading operation from the ground up. Working closely with established trading and technology teams, you'll play a key role in both the day-to-day trading business and the long-term growth of the operation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimise systematic options trading strategies across Indian markets
- Enhance pricing, execution, and risk management models
- Conduct quantitative research and data analysis to improve trading performance
- Investigate new market opportunities and contribute to product expansion initiatives
- Work closely with technology teams to develop and refine trading infrastructure
- Monitor strategy performance and identify areas for improvement
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in algorithmic trading, ideally within India index or equity options markets
- Strong understanding of market microstructure and electronic trading
- Solid grounding in statistics, probability, linear algebra, and calculus
- Experience using Python and/or R for research and data analysis
- Familiarity with SQL and working with large datasets
- Linux/Unix experience is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering robust analytical solutions
