HR Director (stationed in Tianjin, China)

As part of its continued expansion and organizational transformation, the company is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead the Human Resources function and act as a strategic partner to the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's HR strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
- Partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team on organizational planning and people-related decisions.
- Drive workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor on talent, culture, change management, and organizational effectiveness.
Talent & Organizational Development
- Lead talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership pipeline development.
- Build and enhance performance management frameworks to drive accountability and business results.
- Develop employee engagement and retention strategies to support sustainable growth.
- Foster a high-performance culture while maintaining strong employee relations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee compensation, benefits, incentive schemes, and annual salary review processes.
- Ensure reward programs remain competitive and aligned with business objectives.
- Leverage market benchmarking and workforce analytics to support strategic decision-making.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with PRC labor laws and employment regulations.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, disciplinary cases, grievances, and workforce challenges.
- Review and improve HR policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
HR Operations & Transformation
- Lead and develop the HR team to deliver efficient and high-quality HR services.
- Drive HR process optimization, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage HR budgets and workforce-related costs effectively.
- Support change management, restructuring, and business transformation projects when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience
- Strong experience within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, automotive, life sciences, or related sectors.
- Proven track record in organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and business transformation.
- Strong understanding of PRC labor law and HR compliance.
- Demonstrated success partnering with senior executives and business leaders.
- Experience leading and developing HR teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and change management capabilities.
- Fluent Mandarin is required; Fluent English is highly preferred.
