Our client, a leading multi-manager equity hedge fund, is seeking a talented Equity Research Analyst to join one of their high-performing Healthcare teams based in New York. This opportunity sits within a well-established pod led by a Portfolio Manager who has been with the fund for over three years and is now expanding coverage across the US therapeutics space.
Role Overview:
As an Equity Analyst, you will be responsible for generating differentiated investment ideas across the therapeutics sector, conducting deep fundamental research, and supporting the PM in managing a long/short portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of the biotech and pharma landscape, with a proven ability to identify alpha-generating opportunities.
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years of equity research experience, ideally within a hedge fund or asset management environment.
- Therapeutics sector expertise with a strong network and understanding of industry dynamics.
- Long/short investment experience preferred; long bias will be considered. Long-only experience is not suitable for this role.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
