Fund Oversight Controller
The Fund Oversight Controller will be in charge of the supervision of the company's local Central Administrator. Further, the responsibilities of the successful candidate are the oversight of the Fund Accounting activities, to ensure the company's compliance with the applicable regulatory framework and the company's standards.
Business Duties and responsibilities
- The principle objective of the position is the daily oversight and Monitoring of the NAV calculations performed by the central administration
- Drafting procedures and processes; ensuring that procedures, processes and system are updated according to new policies and regulations,
- Provide FA data for reporting dissemination (top 10 holdings, URR report, Ongoing charges, TER…),
- Identify and escalate potential breaches and impact in accordance with internal policies
- Verify the application of Fair Value pricing decided by the FV committee as well as Swing pricing application ratio
- Participate to system change projects and participate in the operational reviews and readiness phases.
- Engage in all audit reviews whether internal or external preparation of audit packs and be comfortable responding to auditor's questions.
- Prepare monthly reporting to the senior management and quarterly reporting the board of directors.
- Collaborate with the other teams and ensure some backup tasks for the TA and Data Management side
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- Minimum 5 years' work experience in similar position.
- Excellent overall knowledge of the Luxembourg fund industry and Fund Accounting Area, past experience in a Management Company would be a plus
- Relevant internal/external audit experience or other related experience e.g.risk management, audit etc.
- Experience in Emerging Markets Debt funds is a nice to have
- Project management skills and client facing skills would be considered a distinct advantage.
- Strong MS Excel and others MS tools skills.
- Proven ability to engage with senior management and third party vendors.
- A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Ability to work closely with various teams, business and other functional stakeholders.
- Organized proactive and communicative with an ability to take initiative and assume responsibility.
- Ability to work independently.
- Open-minded and capable of building productive working relationships.
