FPGA Engineer

We are partnering with a technology-driven organization seeking an FPGA Engineer to join a highly collaborative engineering team focused on developing performance-critical hardware solutions. This individual will contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of FPGA-based systems that support demanding real-time applications.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with a strong background in digital design, verification, and system optimization. You should be comfortable owning projects from concept through deployment, working closely with software and hardware teams, and continuously expanding your technical expertise.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and optimize FPGA-based solutions for high-performance computing environments.
  • Architect and implement custom digital logic to improve system throughput, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware engineers to deliver integrated system-level solutions.
  • Analyze and resolve complex performance, timing, and functional challenges.
  • Participate in simulation, verification, debugging, and validation activities throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Enhance existing platforms through continuous performance tuning and feature development.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to hardware architectures and development practices.
  • Contribute to engineering best practices, development tools, and design methodologies.
  • Share technical knowledge and support the growth of team capabilities.

Desired Background

  • Experience designing and implementing FPGA solutions using Verilog and/or VHDL.
  • Strong understanding of FPGA architecture, timing analysis, and design verification.
  • Experience with simulation and verification tools such as Questa, ModelSim, Riviera, Synopsys, or equivalent platforms.
  • Programming or scripting experience with C++, Python, Bash, TCL, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with hardware/software integration and embedded system development.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with complex technical requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated mindset with the ability to independently drive projects and learning initiatives.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with high-speed communication interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, Serial RapidIO, or similar technologies.
  • Exposure to networking, data processing, signal processing, or accelerated computing applications.
  • Experience developing hardware acceleration solutions within large-scale computing environments.
  • Familiarity with low-latency, real-time, or distributed systems.
