A top-tier middle-market investment bank based in Chicago is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Analyst with a strong track record in M&A transactions, specifically within the food and beverage industry. This role is ideal for candidates with prior investment banking experience who are looking to deepen their sector expertise and contribute to high-impact deal execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support all aspects of M&A transaction execution, including financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and preparation of marketing and client materials.
- Conduct in-depth industry and company research with a focus on the food and beverage sector.
- Prepare and review confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and other transaction-related documents.
- Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and strategic discussions alongside senior bankers.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of prior investment banking experience, with direct involvement in M&A transactions.
- Demonstrated exposure to the food and beverage industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline with strong academic credentials.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
