Financial Restructuring Practice
The restructuring team is among the most active advisory platforms in the market, providing guidance on some of the most complex distressed and special situations transactions. The practice advises debtors, creditor groups, sponsors, and investors in both in-court and out-of-court situations, offering solutions that address liquidity challenges, capital structure issues, strategic alternatives, and transaction execution.

Position Overview
The Associate will play a key role in the execution of restructuring and distressed advisory engagements. This position offers substantial exposure to debtor- and creditor-side assignments, distressed M&A transactions, capital raises, and special situations investing matters. Associates work closely with senior bankers and are expected to take an active role in financial analysis, client deliverables, transaction execution, and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise companies, lenders, and other stakeholders on both out-of-court and Chapter 11 restructuring transactions
- Support debtor-side and creditor-side financial restructuring engagements
- Execute debt and equity financing transactions
- Assist with distressed mergers and acquisitions assignments
- Perform complex financial modeling, valuation analyses, and strategic assessments
- Develop client presentations, marketing materials, and transaction-related documentation
- Evaluate liquidity, business plans, capital structures, and recovery scenarios
- Participate in negotiations and stakeholder discussions throughout transaction processes
- Coordinate with senior bankers and junior team members to manage multiple live engagements simultaneously
Associates work as part of lean deal teams and receive meaningful responsibility and client exposure throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a strong academic record
- Solid foundation in accounting, corporate finance, and financial statement analysis
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, restructuring, corporate finance, or a related advisory environment
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Experience working on restructuring, distressed M&A, special situations, or capital raising transactions
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organizational levels

Compensation & Benefits
The position offers a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits program.
Expected Base Salary Range:
$175,000 - $200,000 (plus discretionary bonus)
Compensation will ultimately be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skill set, and geographic location. This role provides the opportunity to work on complex and high-impact restructuring transactions while developing deep technical and client-facing experience within a leading advisory platform.
