Finance Manager - Fund Accounting - Family Office
We're working with a Hong Kong-based single family office that is in the process of building out its finance and operations platform, alongside applying for SFC Type 4 and 9 licences.
This is a newly created role sitting directly with the CFO, offering broad exposure across fund accounting, portfolio reporting, and operational build-out.
What does the role involve?
This is a hands-on position with full ownership across accounting and reporting, as part of a lean team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing entity-level and portfolio accounting across multiple investment structures
- Preparing financial statements, general ledgers, and reconciliations
- Monitoring fund investments, including capital calls, distributions, NAV and returns
- Producing regular portfolio reporting across public and private investments
- Supporting cash flow forecasting and liquidity management
- Assisting with SFC regulatory reporting, including Financial Resources Returns
- Working closely with the CFO to improve processes, controls and reporting frameworks
- Supporting development and maintenance of internal systems and data
What experience do you need?
We're looking for someone with a strong accounting foundation who is comfortable working in a lean, hands-on environment.
- Qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Experience in fund accounting, asset management or family office environments
- Strong understanding of investment accounting across asset classes
- Exposure to entity-level accounting and financial reporting
- Ideally from a buy-side platform
- Comfortable operating independently with high ownership
