European Finance Compliance Manager
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading international logistics organisation to appoint a Finance Compliance & Statutory Reporting Manager for Europe.
This is a broad and highly visible leadership role responsible for ensuring financial compliance across more than 40 legal entities throughout Europe. The successful candidate will oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance, transfer pricing obligations, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance activities, while leading a team of finance professionals across multiple jurisdictions.
The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and would suit an ambitious finance professional looking to combine technical expertise with people management and international stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with local statutory, accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Own the preparation and review of statutory financial statements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage group consolidations and related reporting processes.
- Coordinate and lead external audits, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors.
- Oversee corporate income tax compliance and support relationships with external tax advisors.
- Manage transfer pricing compliance requirements, including coordination of local and master file documentation.
- Monitor evolving regulatory requirements and ensure implementation across European entities.
- Partner closely with the VP Finance Europe and wider finance leadership team on governance, compliance, and reporting matters.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of six finance professionals based across Europe.

- A background in external audit, ideally gained within a Big Four or recognised audit firm.
- Subsequent industry experience with direct responsibility for statutory reporting, compliance, accounting, and audit management.
- Strong knowledge of statutory accounts preparation and financial compliance requirements.
- Exposure to corporate income tax, regulatory compliance, and transfer pricing processes.
- Experience operating within an international, multi-entity environment.
- A proven ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive outcomes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across finance, operations, and senior leadership teams.
What Makes This Role Different?
This is not a traditional FP&A, Business Control, or Internal Controls position.
Instead, the focus is on owning and driving core finance compliance activities across Europe. We are particularly interested in candidates who have moved beyond pure audit or advisory work and have gained hands-on experience preparing financial statements, managing audits, overseeing compliance obligations, and supporting tax and governance processes within a business environment.
What's on Offer?
- Opportunity to lead finance compliance activities across European entities.
- Management responsibility for an international team.
