Overview:
A prominent European financial institution is seeking a motivated and analytically strong individual to join its Fixed Income Trading team in Paris. The successful candidate will focus on European Government Bonds (EGBs) and Inflation-linked products, contributing to market-making and proprietary trading activities across the Eurozone. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior trader to gain exposure to a sophisticated trading environment and develop deep expertise in rates markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support senior traders in managing risk and executing trades across EGBs and inflation-linked instruments.
- Monitor macroeconomic developments, central bank policy, and market flows to identify trading opportunities.
- Assist in pricing and quoting for client flows, ensuring competitive and accurate execution.
- Collaborate with sales, research, and structuring teams to deliver market insights and trade ideas.
- Contribute to the development of trading tools and analytics to enhance desk performance.
Qualifications:
- 1-4 years of experience in a trading or market-facing role, ideally within fixed income.
- Strong understanding of European rates markets and macroeconomic fundamentals.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; familiarity with trading platforms and Excel/VBA/Python is a plus.
- Fluency in English is required; Italian or Spanish language skills are highly desirable.
- A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
