Director, Real Estate Product Development
A large global asset management firm is looking for a Director of Product Development to support the launch of new private real estate funds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders across distribution, investment teams, legal, compliance, tax, marketing, and operations to bring new real estate strategies to market.
- Lead cross‑functional workstreams from initial concept through launch, including approvals, operational readiness, investor communications, and ongoing oversight.
- Define vehicle structures for private and registered funds (e.g., closed‑end, open‑end, evergreen structures) in collaboration with legal and investment professionals.
- Manage the product development pipeline and regularly communicate updates to internal partners.
- Serve as an internal expert on real estate fund structures, vehicle mechanics, market trends, distribution channels, and regulatory considerations.
- Monitor legal, tax, and regulatory developments affecting new or existing products and recommend adjustments where needed.
- Contribute ideas that strengthen the competitiveness and innovation of the firm's alternatives offerings.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience, ideally within asset management and with exposure to real estate or alternative investment vehicles.
- Proven ability to run multiple workstreams simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical thinking, organization, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of working effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to work independently while also being a strong collaborator.
- Comfortable simplifying complex topics for various audiences.
- High level of integrity, curiosity, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
- Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office Suite.
