Overview
We are partnering with a leading international investment bank seeking a Director-level Corporate FX Sales professional to join its Frankfurt platform. The role will focus on originating and managing relationships with German corporate clients, delivering FX risk management solutions and driving revenue across a broad suite of products.
Key Responsibilities
Client Coverage:
Manage and grow a portfolio of large-cap and mid-cap German corporates, acting as the primary point of contact for FX-related needs.Revenue Generation:
Drive FX flow revenues through proactive client engagement, idea generation, and execution across spot, forwards, swaps, and vanilla options.Advisory & Solutions:
Provide tailored FX hedging and risk management strategies, aligned with clients' underlying exposures (e.g., imports/exports, balance sheet hedging, M&A activity).Origination:
Identify and win new corporate relationships in Germany, leveraging existing network and strong market presence.Internal Collaboration:
Work closely with trading desks, structuring, corporate banking, and coverage teams to deliver cross-product solutions (including rates, commodities, and financing where relevant).Market Insight:
Deliver actionable macro and FX market insights to clients, supporting their decision-making and positioning.Regulatory & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Requirements
Experience:
- 8-15 years' experience in FX Sales, with a strong focus on corporate clients
- Proven track record of revenue generation and client ownership
Client Focus:
- Deep understanding of German corporate client base
- Experience covering exporters, importers, and multinational corporates
Product Knowledge:
- Strong expertise across FX flow products (spot, forwards, swaps, vanilla options)
- Ability to discuss broader hedging solutions (rates/commodities a plus)
Network:
- Established relationships with German corporates / treasurers / CFOs
Language Skills:
- Fluent German and English (essential)
Competencies:
- Strong commercial mindset and client-facing skills
- Ability to operate at Director-level seniority, leading client conversations and internal coordination
- High degree of autonomy and entrepreneurship
