Direct Lending Associate
A specialist private credit investor is looking to hire an Associate into its Frankfurt office, with a dedicated focus on direct lending across the DACH region. The firm is known for its tailored financing solutions, strong sponsor relationships, and deep understanding of the mid-market landscape.
This is a hands-on role within a lean and entrepreneurial team, offering exposure across the full investment cycle, from origination and execution to portfolio monitoring. The successful candidate will be involved in evaluating new opportunities, conducting due diligence, and supporting deal execution across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the origination and execution of direct lending transactions across the DACH region
- Conduct financial modelling, credit analysis, and due diligence on potential borrowers
- Prepare investment committee materials and assist in structuring bespoke financing solutions
- Monitor portfolio companies and support ongoing asset management activities
- Work closely with senior investment professionals and external stakeholders
Candidate Profile:
- 2-4 years of experience in private debt, leveraged finance, corporate banking, or transaction services
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Native or fluent German speaker with professional-level English
- Knowledge of the DACH mid-market and sponsor landscape is a plus
- Proactive, team-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
