Credit Research Analyst - Hedge Fund
A global investment firm is looking for an experienced Credit Research Analyst to join its discretionary strategies team. This position offers the chance to work on complex credit opportunities across investment-grade, high-yield, and distressed markets in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Conduct deep fundamental analysis of corporate issuers and monitor market developments.
- Identify and present relative value and special situation trade ideas to portfolio managers.
- Manage positions throughout their lifecycle, adapting to changing conditions.
- Evaluate new primary market deals, determine fair value, and engage with syndicate desks to source opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 3-7 years in credit research or trading, ideally from a bank desk (HY/distressed) or buy-side credit platform.
- Expertise: Strong grasp of financial statements, capital structures, and credit instruments.
- Skills: Analytical rigour, ability to react quickly to news flow, and confidence in forming independent views.
- Nice to Have: Sector knowledge in Energy, Utilities, Industrials, or Materials; programming skills for modelling.
