Counterparty Credit Risk Analyst
A leading proprietary trading firm is hiring a Counterparty Credit Risk Analyst to support its growing exposure to digital assets and other traded products. This role sits within the credit risk team and plays a key part in evaluating counterparty creditworthiness, monitoring exposures across asset classes, and supporting the development of risk models and frameworks. The firm operates across global markets and is active in both traditional and emerging asset classes, including crypto, derivatives, and commodities. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in credit risk who wants to deepen their exposure to digital assets and trading environments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct credit assessments of counterparties, including financial analysis and internal credit ratings
- Monitor exposures across digital assets, derivatives, FX, and fixed income, identifying wrong-way and concentration risks
- Produce regular credit exposure reports and escalate emerging risks or limit breaches
- Collaborate with trading, legal, and operations teams on deal structures, ISDA/CSA documentation, and credit terms
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in credit risk, preferably in a trading or capital markets environment
- Familiarity with digital assets, derivatives, or other traded financial instruments
- Strong financial analysis skills and understanding of counterparty risk metrics (e.g., PFE, stress testing)
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, or Bloomberg is a plus
