Commercial Middle Market Underwriter
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a growing insurance organization seeking experienced Property & Casualty (P&C) Underwriters to join their team. This is a fully remote opportunity for underwriting professionals with experience in either Middle Market, Commercial Lines, E&S, or Admitted business.
The team is open to candidates from carrier, MGA, MGU, program administrator, or wholesale backgrounds. If you have experience evaluating commercial risks and building broker relationships, we'd like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and underwrite a diverse portfolio of commercial P&C risks
- Analyze submissions, pricing, coverage terms, and risk exposures
- Manage new and renewal business opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with retail and wholesale brokers
- Work closely with internal teams to drive profitable growth
- Monitor portfolio performance and underwriting results
- Provide excellent service to broker partners and insureds
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial underwriting experience
- Background in Property, Casualty, Package, or Multi-Line Commercial business
- Experience within either E&S or Admitted markets
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage broker relationships and negotiate terms
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
