Collections Strategy & Analytics Manager
I'm currently working on a Collections Strategy & Analytics role with a consulting and analytics firm supporting major banks and fintech lenders. This role is focused on designing and optimizing collections and recoveries strategies across unsecured lending portfolios, leveraging analytics, testing, and policy optimization to improve recovery rates, reduce roll rates, and enhance overall portfolio performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for client stakeholders.
- Design, test, and optimize collections and recovery strategies across multiple customer segments and delinquency stages.
- Analyze portfolio performance and monitor key metrics including right-party contact rates, recovery rates, roll rates, and operational efficiency.
- Develop data-driven recommendations to improve collections effectiveness and reduce losses.
- Partner with operations teams and third-party vendors to execute strategic initiatives and enhance customer engagement.
- Lead consulting engagements and analytical workstreams from strategy development through implementation.
- Manage and mentor both onshore and offshore team members.
- Present findings, recommendations, and business insights to senior leadership and client executives.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in banking, fintech, financial services, analytics consulting, or credit risk strategy.
- Experience developing and optimizing collections, recoveries, servicing, or customer engagement strategies.
- Strong analytical background with proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience with policy optimization, strategy testing, and performance measurement.
- Knowledge of unsecured lending products and consumer credit portfolios.
- Track record of managing client relationships and leading project delivery.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring teams in a consulting or analytics environment.
- Master's degree preferred in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
