Role Overview
As an Assistant Controller, you will play a key role in the financial oversight of real estate investments in the Netherlands. You'll work closely with fund controllers, asset managers, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and financial insight across a diverse portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on financial activities related to Dutch real estate investments.
- Prepare variance analyses and contribute to monthly and quarterly fund reports.
- Coordinate the annual accounts process and manage audit timelines.
- Support property acquisitions and disposals with financial data and insights.
- Serve as a key contact for investment controllers, property managers, appraisers, and auditors.
- Ensure timely resolution of financial queries and coordinate reporting processes.
- Provide support on complex accounting issues (IFRS and local GAAP).
- Contribute to budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
- Maintain awareness of balance sheet positions and identify discrepancies.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Economics.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in finance or audit, ideally within a Big Four firm.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP, especially in real estate.
- Experience with real estate administration and reporting in international settings.
- Accurate, proactive, and solution-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.
- Experience with Yardi or similar financial systems is highly desirable.
