Risk Manager
Take a leading role in shaping risk strategies for alternative investments. You'll drive the development, enhancement, and oversight of risk management practices across private asset classes, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver independent risk assessments and insights on portfolios under management.
- Strengthen risk culture and promote best practices across the organization.
- Review and update risk policies and procedures in line with AIFM regulations (AIFMD, CSSF Circulars).
- Analyze and monitor risks across private assets (market, liquidity, credit, operational, compliance, ESG).
- Conduct ad-hoc risk analyses and prepare reports for senior stakeholders.
- Ensure data integrity within risk systems and maintain high-quality inputs.
- Review fund documentation and agreements from a risk perspective.
- Support audits and regulatory reviews on risk-related topics.
- Collaborate with internal teams on new products, projects, and risk initiatives.
- Prepare fund risk profiles and provide pre-deal risk opinions.
Key Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or equivalent.
- Several years of experience in risk management within asset management, advisory, or banking.
- Expertise in alternative investments (private equity, private debt, infrastructure, or real estate).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with hands-on experience in risk processes.
- Familiarity with AIFMD and Luxembourg fund industry regulations.
- Knowledge of risk models and ESG considerations is a plus.
- Technical proficiency in tools such as Excel VBA, PowerBI, Python; database skills advantageous.
- Professional certifications (CFA, CAIA, FRM) preferred.
