About the Role

A global quantitative hedge fund operating across multiple liquid asset classes is seeking a Software Engineer to support its analytics and reporting capabilities. The firm adopts a data-driven, scientific approach, combining research, technology, and trading expertise to tackle complex problems and generate investment insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with quantitative traders and researchers to design and build scalable reporting and analytical tools using python.
  • Develop robust applications in python that directly support trading strategies and performance monitoring.
  • Explore and integrate alternative datasets, leveraging python to uncover actionable insights and identify new opportunities.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain production-grade systems written in python, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver solutions, using python as a core language for development and data analysis.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in python, with solid software engineering principles.
  • Experience building, deploying, and supporting production applications using python.
  • Ability to manage priorities independently in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software engineering or a related discipline.

Nice to Have

  • Experience within financial services, particularly in a trading or hedge fund environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Experience building dashboards or working with data visualization tools.
