Portfolio Manager Financial Controller - AD/D
Our client is a buyside firm. They are seeking a hands-on finance professional to oversee a complex compensation and financial control process within a fast-paced investment environment. The role combines financial analysis, governance, reporting, data management, automation, and finance transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders, manage large and complex datasets, and help drive process improvements, system implementations, and ERP integration projects. Candidates with experience in analytics, automation, coding, or AI-enabled solutions will be highly regarded
Key Responsibilities
Compensation & Financial Control
- Manage recurring compensation calculations, validation processes, and reporting.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of compensation outputs.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, reconciliations, and data validation across multiple financial inputs.
- Maintain strong governance, controls, and audit documentation.
Data & Analytics
- Manage and analyse large, complex datasets.
- Develop financial models, dashboards, and management reporting tools.
- Produce insights and profitability analyses for senior leadership.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Drive automation initiatives through workflow enhancements and technology solutions.
- Support continuous improvement across reporting, controls, and operations.
Systems & Transformation
- Support the implementation of finance-related systems and platforms.
- Translate business requirements into system logic, workflows, and control frameworks.
- Partner with business and technology teams on system design, testing, and deployment.
- Contribute to finance transformation, ERP integration, process redesign, and data migration projects.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a key finance partner on compensation-related matters.
- Work closely with senior business stakeholders on financial and commercial discussions.
- Communicate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively.
- Collaborate across Finance, Technology, HR, Operations, and business teams
