About the Opportunity
A leading Property & Casualty insurance organization is seeking a Manager, Telematics Product Strategy to lead the growth, optimization, and expansion of its Personal Lines telematics and usage-based insurance (UBI) programs.
This role sits at the intersection of Product Management, Analytics, Underwriting, Pricing, and Technology, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of data-driven insurance solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for Personal Lines telematics and usage-based insurance programs.
- Drive the expansion of telematics capabilities across new states, products, and customer segments.
- Identify opportunities to leverage driving behavior data to improve risk selection, underwriting accuracy, pricing sophistication, and customer experience.
- Partner closely with Product, Actuarial, Data Science, Analytics, Underwriting, Technology, Compliance, and Legal teams to execute strategic initiatives.
- Manage telematics vendors and technology partners, including vendor evaluations, RFP processes, contract negotiations, implementation efforts, and ongoing performance management.
- Oversee the integration of telematics data into business processes, systems, and decision-making frameworks.
- Monitor program performance and identify opportunities to improve results through enhanced analytics, segmentation, and customer engagement strategies.
- Support regulatory filings, approvals, and compliance efforts related to telematics and usage-based insurance programs.
- Develop business cases, recommendations, and performance reporting for senior leadership.
- Stay informed on emerging trends, technologies, and competitive developments within telematics, connected vehicles, and insurance innovation.
- Influence enterprise stakeholders and drive alignment around telematics strategy and business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 4+ years of experience in insurance product management, telematics, usage-based insurance (UBI), analytics, or related disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of Personal Lines insurance, particularly Personal Auto products.
- Understanding of insurance pricing, underwriting, risk segmentation, and regulatory considerations.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives within a Property & Casualty insurance organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across business and technology teams.
- Experience evaluating and managing third-party vendors and technology partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic planning abilities.
- Proven ability to prioritize initiatives and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience managing or expanding telematics or usage-based insurance programs.
- Familiarity with connected vehicle technologies, mobile telematics solutions, and driving behavior analytics.
- Experience partnering with actuarial, analytics, and data science teams to develop data-driven business strategies.
- Knowledge of telematics vendor ecosystems and implementation best practices.
- Background supporting regulatory filings and compliance requirements related to telematics products.
