Overview

We are currently partnered with a multi-billion-dollar specialized healthcare-focused investment management firm who is seeking to add an Investor Relations Senior Associate to support both investor-facing and fundraising initiatives. The role will work closely with senior leadership and investment professionals and offers broad exposure across investor relations, client service, marketing, and capital formation functions.

The Investor Relations Senior Associate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating investor communications, including monthly and quarterly reporting packages, investor letters, presentations, performance updates, track records, and other marketing materials.
  • Managing investor servicing requests and coordinating responses across investment, finance, legal, compliance, operations, and external service provider teams.
  • Preparing, maintaining, and updating DDQs, RFPs, consultant questionnaires, and other due diligence materials.
  • Maintaining CRM systems, investor databases, and third-party reporting platforms.
  • Developing a strong understanding of the firm's investment strategy, portfolio construction process, risk management framework, and competitive positioning.
  • Supporting the firm's prospective investor pipeline through research, market mapping, and relationship management activities.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of investor outreach initiatives, meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Supporting relationships with allocators, consultants, capital introduction teams, family offices, endowments, foundations, and other institutional investors.
  • Partnering directly with senior leadership on strategic business development and fundraising initiatives.
  • Serving as a key point of coordination across internal stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and professional communication with investors.

The Investor Relations Senior Associate should have:

  • 2-5+ years of experience within Investor Relations, Business Development, Capital Formation, Client Solutions, Fundraising, or a related function within investment management.
  • Strong understanding of institutional asset management and the alternative investment industry.
  • Previous experience supporting investor communications, due diligence processes, and investor reporting activities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with sophisticated investors and senior stakeholders.
  • An interest in healthcare investing, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare services, or life sciences.
  • The ability to balance both relationship-oriented responsibilities and highly detail-oriented execution work.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take ownership in a lean team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database management tools.
  • Experience within a healthcare-focused hedge fund, long/short investment manager, or healthcare-focused investment platform is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to both Investor Relations and Business Development activities is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to work in either San Francisco, New York, or another major financial market, depending on experience and fit.
