Investment Banking Senior Analyst / Associate - Healthcare M&A

Selby Jennings is partnered with a leading upper middle-market investment bank that is looking to add a Senior Analyst or Associate to its Healthcare M&A group. The team advises on M&A transactions with broad coverage across Healthcare Services, Healthcare Technology, and HCIT. This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing platform with consistent deal flow and strong visibility with senior bankers.
What You'll Do
- Execute sell-side, buy-side, and strategic advisory engagements across Healthcare Services, Healthcare Technology, and HCIT
- Build and review financial models, including valuation, merger, and LBO analyses
- Prepare CIMs, management presentations, and other client-ready materials
- Conduct industry and company research to support deal execution and origination efforts
- Manage day-to-day deal workstreams, including due diligence and coordination with clients and counterparties
- Work closely with Directors, MDs, and senior team members on live transactions and pitch efforts
- Mentor and support junior team members (Associate level)
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of investment banking experience (Senior Analyst) or 3+ years (Associate) with a focus on M&A advisory
- Healthcare, Healthcare Services, Healthcare Technology, or HCIT experience is preferred, but strong M&A backgrounds from other sectors will be considered
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record
- Willingness to work in NYC, Chicago, or Charlotte
