Selby Jennings has partnered with a highly respected, national middle-market investment bank seeking to add an Investment Banking Associate to its Diversified Industrials team.

Role Overview
The Associate will work closely with senior bankers across transaction execution and business development efforts within the Diversified Industrials sector. This individual will play a key role in managing transaction processes, developing client presentations and financial analyses, mentoring analysts, and supporting client relationships throughout the deal lifecycle.
The Investment Banking Associate will be responsible for:
- Supporting senior bankers in originating and executing M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements
- Participating actively in live transactions from pitch through close
- Developing and reviewing complex financial models and valuation analyses
- Creating high-quality marketing materials, client presentations, and transaction documentation
- Managing and mentoring investment banking analysts, ensuring quality and accuracy of work product
- Interacting directly with management teams, business owners, and senior executives
- Assisting with business development initiatives and industry research
- Participating in recruiting, training, and team-building efforts
- Traveling as needed for client meetings, conferences, and transaction-related activities
The Investment Banking Associate should have:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, transaction advisory services, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA not required
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting, valuation, and financial modeling
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience with Capital IQ, PitchBook, Tableau, or similar financial databases is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and sound judgment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team-oriented culture
- Confidence interacting with senior-level executives and clients
- FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 79, and Series 63) preferred but not required; candidates will be supported in obtaining licenses if needed

Compensation
Base Salary: $160,000 - $190,000
In addition to base salary, Associates are eligible for a highly competitive performance-based bonus program. Total compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
