Investment Analyst
A top-tier global asset manager is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its Private Credit team in New York. This role offers the opportunity to join a well-established platform with significant AUM and a strong track record in credit investing, providing exposure to a high volume of transactions, direct access to senior investors, and a clear path for long-term growth.
The Role
The analyst will focus on evaluating and executing private credit investments, primarily providing first-lien and unitranche financing solutions to sponsor-backed companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate new lending opportunities and investment theses
- Conduct in-depth due diligence on business quality and cash flow sustainability
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and scenario analyses
- Structure debt investments, including terms, covenants, and capital structures
- Assess downside protection, leverage profiles, and recovery outcomes
- Support ongoing portfolio monitoring and investment management
What They're Looking For
- 1-3 years of experience in Investment Banking, ideally within Leveraged Finance, Credit, or related product groups
- Background at a top-tier investment bank strongly preferred (but not required)
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skill-set
- Interest in credit investing and risk-focused underwriting
- Detail-oriented with a rigorous approach to due diligence
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
