Hedge Fund Head of Fundraising
An emerging manager hedge fund focused on foreign exchange (FX) markets is seeking a Head of Fundraising to lead capital formation efforts and drive the firm's next phase of growth. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing the fundraising strategy, expanding the firm's investor network, and building long-term relationships with institutional and high-net-worth investors. The role offers the opportunity to work directly with firm leadership and play a critical role in scaling an innovative investment platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the firm's fundraising and capital formation strategy.
- Source, cultivate, and manage relationships with institutional investors, family offices, RIAs, consultants, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Lead all aspects of the fundraising process, including investor outreach, meetings, due diligence, and closing activities.
- Create and refine marketing materials, pitch books, presentations, and investor communications.
- Partner with portfolio management and leadership teams to effectively articulate the investment strategy, performance, and firm vision.
- Build and maintain a robust investor pipeline and CRM process.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, networking events, and investor meetings.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to leadership regarding investor sentiment and fundraising opportunities.
Key Qualifications
- 20+ years of experience in investment marketing, fundraising, or business development within the asset management industry.
- Proven track record of raising capital for hedge funds or alternative investment strategies.
- Demonstrated experience helping scale emerging managers and growing assets under management.
- Strong network of institutional allocators, family offices, consultants, and private wealth investors.
- Exceptional relationship management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a growing organization.
- Deep understanding of hedge fund structures, investor due diligence processes, and capital formation best practices.
