Role Overview

The firm is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Vice President, Institutional FX Sales to join its European platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with institutional clients across Europe, delivering high-quality FX solutions, market insights, and execution services across G10 and EM currencies.

This role sits within the Global Markets division and requires close collaboration with trading, structuring, and research teams to provide clients with best-in-class execution, liquidity, and advisory services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Client Coverage & Revenue Generation

    • Manage and grow a portfolio of institutional clients including asset managers, hedge funds and banks
    • Drive FX revenue across spot, forwards, swaps, NDFs, and options
    • Identify cross-selling opportunities across rates, credit, and macro products
  • Client Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain senior-level relationships across the European client base
    • Deliver tailored solutions aligned with client investment mandates and hedging requirements
    • Act as a trusted advisor on macro trends and FX strategy
  • Market Commentary & Trade Ideas

    • Provide timely and actionable FX market insights to clients
    • Generate trade ideas incorporating macro, technical, and flow-based analysis
    • Partner with research teams to deliver differentiated content
  • Execution & Risk Management

    • Work closely with FX trading desks to ensure best execution and competitive pricing
    • Monitor market conditions and support client risk management
    • Ensure adherence to internal risk frameworks and compliance standards
  • Strategic Development

    • Contribute to the continued growth of the European FX franchise
    • Expand coverage across new client segments and geographies
    • Support the development of electronic trading and platform distribution

Requirements

  • Experience

    • 6-10+ years of experience in FX sales within a leading bank or financial institution
    • Demonstrated track record of revenue generation and client relationship development
    • Strong understanding of G10 FX products; EM experience is advantageous
  • Client & Market Expertise

    • Deep knowledge of institutional client segments, including asset managers, hedge funds.
    • Strong understanding of macroeconomic drivers and global markets
    • Ability to translate market developments into actionable client strategies
  • Skills

    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Strong commercial acumen and sales discipline
    • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, market-driven environment
    • High attention to detail and strong execution capabilities
  • Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
    • Professional qualifications (e.g., CFA) are advantageous
