FX FinTech sales - London - VP
Our client, a Tier 1 global bank, is seeking a high-impact Vice President in FX FinTech Sales to join their London-based team. This is a front-office role focused on originating, growing, and deepening FX relationships across the FinTech ecosystem-including neo-banks, payment companies, broker-dealers, retail trading platforms, and API-driven FX venues. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record in FX sales, a strong understanding of eFX, and the ability to translate complex FX products into scalable solutions tailored for technology-led businesses. You will be responsible for delivering both flow products and more structured solutions, partnering closely with trading, e-commerce, product, legal, and risk teams to ensure seamless onboarding, pricing, execution, and post-trade support.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and expand a revenue-generating portfolio of FinTech, neo-bank, and broker relationships, with clear accountability for pipeline development, wallet capture, and cross-sell.
- Originate and execute FX solutions across spot, forwards, NDFs, options, and structured products, aligned to client use cases (treasury, payments, retail FX, brokerage facilitation, and hedging).
- Champion the bank's eFX capabilities (API connectivity, pricing streams, algos, smart order routing, post-trade analytics), collaborating with e-commerce and trading to deliver competitive, resilient electronic execution.
- Lead commercial discussions, negotiate terms, and manage the sales lifecycle-from prospecting and onboarding through to scaling volumes and optimizing performance.
- Work cross-functionally with product management to shape FX and eFX feature roadmaps based on client feedback, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
- Provide market color, analytics, and thought leadership to clients; prepare and deliver high-quality proposals, demos, and presentations for executive stakeholders.
- Ensure disciplined risk, conduct, and compliance standards across the portfolio (KYC/AML, suitability, best execution, governance, and data privacy).
- Track KPIs including revenue, spreads, volumes, client activation, and platform adoption; report performance transparently and identify opportunities to improve profitability and service.
- Represent the bank at industry events and forums, building brand presence within the FinTech community and maintaining an active network of decision-makers and influencers.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive FX sales experience with direct coverage of FinTechs, neo-banks, and brokerages; demonstrable success originating and scaling electronic FX business.
- Strong technical understanding of eFX (connectivity models, FIX/API integrations, pricing engines, low-latency infrastructure, analytics, and post-trade tooling).
- Deep knowledge of FX market microstructure and client workflows (payments, treasury operations, brokerage facilitation, retail flows, and hedging programs).
- Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and executive communication; able to frame complex solutions in clear, outcome-oriented language for business and technology stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed environment, partnering with trading, product, risk, legal, compliance, and technology.
- Bachelor's degree (advanced degrees a plus); relevant professional certifications or eFX platform experience highly advantageous.
