Job Title: Fund Accountant
Location: New York, NY (On-Site)
Salary: $120,000-$160,000
Company Summary: A growing, fund administrator is looking to hire a key position within their fund accounting group. The organization works closely with their parent fund by providing structure, tools, and oversight that help day to day activities run smoothly. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys taking ownership, has a strong accounting background and can work in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a lead the month-end close process, including general ledger, cash and position reconciliations
- Perform shadow accounting and review administrator, investor, and manager reporting for accuracy
- Assist with management and incentive fee calculations, cash movement, and accounts payable
- Support audits, regulatory filings, and continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of public accounting experience within financial services or asset management
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP with high attention to detail and analytical rigor
- Ability to navigate evolving priorities and open-ended situations while helping design and improve efficient processes
- Strong organizational and collaboration skills, with flexibility to manage competing deadlines and support cross-functional initiatives and ad hoc projects
