Development Associate
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development Associate to join our growing real estate development team in Nashville, TN, with a specialized focus on Medical Office properties. This role is ideal for candidates with 2 to 4 years of experience in real estate development, healthcare real estate, or related fields who are looking to deepen their expertise in the medical office sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end development process for medical office projects, including site selection, due diligence, entitlement, design, construction, and delivery.
- Assist in market research and site feasibility analysis to identify strategic development opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Prepare and maintain project budgets, schedules, and development pro formas.
- Participate in lease negotiations and tenant coordination for healthcare providers and medical groups.
- Monitor regulatory and zoning requirements specific to healthcare and medical office developments.
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for internal stakeholders and capital partners.
- Track and report on project progress, risks, and milestones.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in real estate development, preferably with exposure to medical office or healthcare-related projects.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with Nashville's real estate market and healthcare landscape is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with healthcare systems, physician groups, or medical tenants.
- Knowledge of entitlement processes and healthcare-specific building codes.
- Exposure to real estate investment analysis and capital markets.
