Chief of Staff/Investment Strategist
Overview:
Our team is currently partnered with a quantitative hedge fund in Fairfield County, Connecticut. They are looking to hire a Chief of Staff/Investment Strategist who will be responsible in assisting with business development efforts and direct client outreach. This individual will report directly to the CEO and will work closely with senior leadership across investor relations, client strategy, operations and investments. This role offers significant growth potential, with the opportunity to play an active part in the firm's strategic decision making and help shape its long-term success. This individual should have lots of ambition and should be excited about joining a growing hedge fund.
Responsibilities:
  • Supporting business development efforts by preparing investor presentation materials, conducting market research, and deepening relationships with investors
  • Partnering closely with the CEO on internal and external communications including preparing meeting materials and ensuring timely execution of business initiatives
  • Managing and responding to ODD and IDD requests
  • Working on ad hoc industry whitepapers and portfolio allocation matters
  • Monitoring industry developments and emerging investment themes
  • Participating in ad hoc projects and initiatives to contribute to firm growth
Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in an investor relations or product specialist seat at an asset manager or hedge fund
  • Bachelor's degree from a highly regarded university
  • Exceptional analytical and Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of quant finance, the systematic investment process, portfolio solutions, and public returns
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (preferably Dynamo)
