Firm Overview:

A leading global investment advisory and portfolio solutions firm is seeking an experienced business development professional to drive growth initiatives throughout the Southeast region. This individual will be responsible for identifying new client opportunities, expanding market presence, and building relationships across institutional and private investor channels.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing new business opportunities, strengthening referral networks, and partnering with internal stakeholders to support the firm's continued expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue prospective clients across a broad range of investor segments, including foundations, endowments, pension plans, family offices, healthcare organizations, and high-net-worth investors.
  • Create and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunity by proactively sourcing, qualifying, and advancing prospects through the sales process.
  • Develop strategic plans to increase market penetration and drive long-term business growth within the assigned territory.
  • Develop a deep understanding of prospective client needs and effectively communicate the value of the firm's advisory and investment capabilities.
  • Cultivate a network of contacts that can generate introductions and referral opportunities across the region.
  • Represent the firm at conferences, industry meetings, and networking events to enhance brand awareness and generate new leads.
  • Collaborate closely with investment professionals, client-facing teams, and subject matter experts to support prospect engagement efforts.
  • Maintain detailed records of prospect activity, business development efforts, and sales progress within CRM systems.
  • Track performance metrics and provide regular pipeline updates, forecasting, and market intelligence to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or professional designation is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, institutional sales, relationship management, consulting, or investment services.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing new opportunities and managing complex sales cycles within financial services.
  • Familiarity with institutional investor markets and/or private client segments.
  • Existing professional network within the Southeast region is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
