Business Development Analyst

A fast-growing specialty finance firm is partnering with high-potential, emerging consumer brands across the U.S., providing flexible working capital solutions that support scaling operations and long-term growth. The Business Development team sits at the heart of this effort, engaging daily with founders, investors, and operators across the consumer ecosystem.

This role is designed for an early-career professional who wants firsthand exposure to deal sourcing, client engagement, and market analysis, with a clear path toward owning relationships and originating opportunities over time. The team is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn and grow within a commercial, client-facing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), including pipeline tracking, data integrity, and reporting
  • Support inbox management and external communication with prospective clients and partners
  • Coordinate scheduling for meetings, client calls, and internal business development initiatives
  • Participate in team meetings and client conversations to develop exposure to deal flow and relationship management
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials and supporting documentation for business development efforts
  • Help refine internal processes, workflows, and reporting mechanisms to improve team efficiency
  • Build a strong understanding of the firm's target market, underwriting approach, and ideal client profile
  • Identify and research prospective opportunities, contributing to outbound sourcing efforts with the goal of gradually owning a pipeline

Candidate Profile

  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales operations, finance, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a similar discipline
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce or equivalent preferred)
  • Exposure to project management platforms (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, or similar) is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Process-oriented, with an interest in optimizing workflows and systems
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with significant growth potential
