AVP Risk Analyst /Taipei
A leading global asset management firm is seeking an AVP-level Risk Analyst to join its Taiwan team. This is an excellent opportunity for a risk professional with strong risk governance experience and a buy-side background to work within an international environment and partner with stakeholders across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and enhance the firm's risk governance framework and risk oversight processes.
- Monitor and assess investment-related risks, including market, liquidity, and counterparty risks.
- Prepare risk reports and presentations for senior management and risk committees.
- Conduct risk analysis and identify emerging risks across investment portfolios.
- Partner closely with investment, compliance, legal, and regional risk teams.
- Support regulatory initiatives, policy reviews, and risk management projects.
- Assist in strengthening controls, governance standards, and risk reporting capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in risk management, risk governance, investment risk, or related functions.
- Prior experience within a buy-side institution such as an asset manager, insurance company, pension fund, private fund, or alternative investment platform.
- Strong understanding of risk governance frameworks and investment risk management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English is essential, both written and spoken.
- Mandarin Chinese is preferred.
- CFA, FRM, or other relevant professional qualifications would be advantageous.
