A leading independent advisory and consulting platform is seeking to hire an Associate to join its growing London-based restructuring and turnaround team.
The firm advises lenders, investors, creditors, corporates, private equity sponsors and other stakeholders through periods of financial stress, operational transformation, complex transactions and business-critical change. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of restructuring, turnaround, performance improvement and special situations mandates across the UK and international markets.
The Opportunity
As an Associate, you will work closely with senior professionals on a variety of engagements, supporting clients through complex and often high-profile situations. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to develop restructuring advisory experience within an entrepreneurial environment that offers significant client exposure and responsibility from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and review integrated financial models, liquidity forecasts and business plans
- Analyse financial performance, capital structures and stakeholder positions
- Support independent business reviews, restructuring plans and turnaround assessments
- Assist with cash flow forecasting, working capital analysis and liquidity management engagements
- Conduct company, industry and market research to support advisory recommendations
- Prepare client presentations, board materials and stakeholder communications
- Work closely with lenders, investors, management teams and external advisers throughout transaction and restructuring processes
- Support operational improvement, business transformation and value creation initiatives
- Participate in transaction execution, distressed M&A and special situations assignments where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience gained within restructuring advisory, turnaround consulting, transaction services, corporate finance, valuation, audit or investment banking
- ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification preferred
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams within fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and commercial judgement
- Demonstrated interest in restructuring, special situations and complex corporate advisory work
